There is alot I have learned since I became a mother 2 years ago. I had quit my job and decided to stay at home to raise my son. It was hard adjusting to only one income and not being able to just "get up and go" when I wanted to. But like with everything in life you find ways to "adjust". The most important thing in your life at this time is the bundle of joy you have created, and as that bundle gets older you have more concerns and worries as the years go by. Have you ever asked yourself these questions? Will my house ever be clean? Am I teaching my child correctly? Am I being overprotective? How can I balance all my household chores everyday and still have time for my child? Well these questions go through my head everyday, and the more questions I have the more organized I become. I really hate being the "planner" type, but once I got started on a schedule, everything started to fall into place. I am becoming more patient and my husband and I have become closer. Below you will see some tips I have that have helped me greatly
TIPS: 1. I found a hobby I really enjoy, which lets me gets out of the house at least once a week to do "my" thing. I was becoming suffocated with revolving around everyone else, that I wasn't thinking of myself. It has made me a better and happier person. 2. Look in your area for playgroups(if you have toddlers)It's a great way to swap babysitting jobs when you need that extra night out a month to be with your mate. It also saves you money for a sitter. 3. Make up a cleaning chart for your daily chores, this way you have everything in front of you and sooner or later you will fall into that automatic stage where everything gets done by a certain time of the day, and you have more time to spend with your kids and even take time out for yourself. 4. Shopping gets expensive, I highly suggest using coupons to lower the bill, and stock up on products that can be preserved when your local store has a great sale. If you can't find coupons for certain items you always buy, look on the internet or call the 1-800 number they give you, 9 times out of 10 they will mail you coupons and put you on a mailing list(this is especially good for diapers, formula, babyfood, etc...
